Title: Yj heater core
Post by: REBELjeeper on June 18, 2008, 01:50:49 pm
I'm looking at a 95 YJ at my work for a daily driver, but the problem is that someone CUT the heater core off (???)  Is this a miserable fix, or is it gonna be somethin junkyard fixable?  I wanna offer them some cash for it, but i don't wanna spend a fortune on the thing fixin it then.

The Jeep is a 95 YJ 4-Cylinder 5-speed, no A/C.  Any help would be appreciated!

IMHO, if you can get a good deal on the YJ, it will be worth fixing up (assuming it's not a rust bucket). We have the same 4 banger 5 speed set-up in our 93 and it has over 200,000 miles on it. It's good on gas and holds its own on the trails too! You can probably pick up a replacement core from a local junk yard or one of the Jeep forums.

Good Luck!

I'm not gonna buy. They are askin WAYYYYYY too much for it.  $3,000 for it with 200,00 miles and a bad heater core & oxidzed paint... :(

Thanks for the info though Chasm.
