Post by: j.haffly on June 20, 2008, 12:06:48 pm
This one has me stumped....my radio aint working....fuse is good, just nothing going on with the radio.  I'm thinking replacment but if it's something silly....it's a 97 TJ SE....

Is it the stock radio you are having problems with?  Have you had it out of the dash recently?  Some radios will power up but not have any sound output without the antenna wire being plugged in.

No, it's never been removed....it's not powering up at all....no light for the station or the time....

check, I think there is more than one fuse for a stock radio, one keyed hot and one always hot....just a place to start anyway...

I take it you have checked the fuse behind the glove box but also check the fuse/relay box under the hood.

I'm going to double check the fuse/relay under the hood....

Check the one that is marked IOD. Depending on the vehicle that fuse may cut out the radio but it would also kill some other stuff.
