Title: engine noise

I have a strange noise that sounds like it is coming from the front part of my engine (258 6 cyl). It is a tapping/knocking type of noise, doesn't really sound internal. Could it be the water pump? Any help would be great. Thanks...Kim

it could be the rocker arms tapping mine sounds like that
