Title: Slight, ever so slight vibration
Post by: j.haffly on August 15, 2008, 09:13:34 am
Ok....got the u-joints taken care of and the driveshaft is back in....no issues there...also swapped out my old disco's for a set of JKS's....

Have been driving it for a bit now and am noticing a very very very slight vibration that goes away around 40mph or so....again, very slight....doesnt feel the same either to be honest....would changing out the disco's cause much diff in handling?  The old ones, were rusted up pretty bad and the bushings were pretty dry....the JKS's are greasable and I of course greased them before taking it out....

I would think that if the driveshaft wasnt installed properly, I would have MAJOR vibration issues....

Any thoughts?

Jim

Instead of buying that Land Rover you should have bought the SYE Kit that you have needed for three years Jim.
That's your problemĀ  >:(
"I've got you in my sights"  :P

I'd feel bad convincing someone to take a Land Rover off my hands too... I would have at least made you by me a beer though  :P

Yea, he could have bought me a beer....good point....but I gotta tell ya....it aint a bad drive for distance....and she's getting about 15mpg around town....so I cant really complain....still wish they had an older Grand or two....they had two on the lot but they were 2006 models and the price was a tad more then I wanted to spend....
