Title: Body Lift Question
Post by: GACOOLEY on December 06, 2008, 03:44:51 pm
OK, put a 3" body lift on my YJ. Side note, I got a Performance Accessories kit and I cant say enough about the design. They made that kit "Idiot Proof" Had it on by myself in about 4 hours. My only question in about one side effect from the kit if you can even call it that. My tilt steering adjustment seems to be a bit stiff now that the kit is on. Is this normal or did I forget something. Everything else seems great.

I believe that to be normal. Mine was too, but driving a CJ-5 mine is always tilted up. With that body lift you should consider a Flaming River or Borgeson steering shaft. Stock steering shafts don't allow for the angle in most cases, not all, but most. Take a good look at yours.
