Title: fan clutch/99 grand cherokee 4.7L
Post by: jeepergrohm on February 12, 2009, 09:08:41 pm
I got a 99 grand with a 4.7 and the fan clutch dumped on me. Dealer tells me that it takes 50 horse power to turn and that it would cost me about $400. to fix. (part being $200) I found one for $55 dollars and can change it myself, but I was wondering do I even need It ? to give me an extra 50 horse would be awesome, and there is an electric fan. I dont go off roading with it so it's not under alot of load.I am concerned though about the summer time and keeping it cool. any help would be great.....
