Title: HELP!!!!! just bought a 95 wrangler 5th gears out i have questions about tranys

I just recently bought a 95 wrangler with the 2.5 liter manual tranny was wondering if i could put a tranny from a 97 in it and if so what i need to change if anything my 5th gear went out everybody else is telling me  i can only put a 94-95 tranny in it

I'm not sure on years but I think there is a difference between the 4 and 6 cyl.

I just saw one in the Rausch Creek fourms a 95 four banger AX5

Is 5th gear gone because your tires are too big for the 2.5 liter engine? Maybe it's just a regearing issue?
