Title: cj7 lift
Post by: 76cj7 on April 09, 2011, 07:48:58 pm
I was thinking about putting a 4'' rough country lift on my cj7. Does any one know if these are good lift kits and how will the handling be if i do use it. I found a 4'' rough county for $200 so im just trying to get some advise.

is it a new kit? i have rough country on both my jeeps which are xj's and i stand by them 100%. ive never had a problem with them the quality is just as good and strong as the big names. a used lift will work like a used lift.

The guy said that he put the lift on and he couldnt get into it because his knee is messed up and he took it off. He said they were never driven on. I would think ill need a drop pitman arm and new drive shafts and brake lines.

Reasearch "tie rod flip" you will keep the stock pitman arm and will keep the turring rad. It also inproves the tierod ground clearance.
