Title: Seat Replacement on an early 1997 TJ
Post by: j.haffly on August 17, 2011, 10:24:28 am
I had one of the bolts holding the driver's seat to the slider basically bust off....lot of rust there due to not having the doors on over the years....anyways, purchased a seat from JC Whitney that said would fit....of course, it doesnt....the bolt hole patter on the old seat/glider is 12" center to center....the new seat is 14" center to center....I found an adapter that looks like it will do the job....it has 8 bolt holes, 4 of which look like they will fit the glider and 4 that will fit the seat.....

Any advice?  Of course the passanger seat doesnt fit, I tried....the bolt patterns are different on the seat bottoms, the driver's seat sits farther to the right while the passenger seat fits farther to the left...

Jim......
