Title: Jan Club Ride

The first club ride of 2013 will be Saturday Jan 19 at Rausch.

Maybe there will be some snow to play on up there.We will be doing greens and blues. Meet at RC by 830.

Ok does anyone have the weather for Friday into Sat morning? as long as the roads are not covered in snow and icy we will be going. I can play on icy roads at home , i am not sitting in traffic on 81 because people are scared to drive in the snow.

I'm still in for Saturday.  Weather looks to be light snow over night into Saturday morning.  With that being said, I went the Saturday after Christmas during the snowstorm.  Although only a few inches accumulated, it was snow on top of ice, which wasn't very fun.  We spent most of the day getting people unstuck.  We decided to do the West property, which probably was the worst section to choose due to the elevation difference to the rest of the park.  I was the 5th Jeep down the Power Line trail and had to 'steer' it into the uphill bank twice due to ice.  Then, on our way back out, we discovered H and J trails were just as icy.  We know of at least 2 Jeeps that didn't make it out that day due to ice (granted they weren't very well equipped).  As a result, my suggestion is to avoid the West property if its icy!

ok this ride has been canceled again. No one wants to risk driving up early in the morning on icy roads.

My Jeep will be down for the month of Feb so i will be looking for a guide for the month of Feb....
