Technical Advice and Questions / Re: YJ Lift question
« on: March 11, 2008, 12:02:05 pm »
Skyjacker has an outstanding ride and are lifetime warrenty as well. The springs have teflon sliders between all leaf, full length taperred, US steel and shot peened for durability.

They also cycle every leaf sping they make 600 times to set the spring insuring it is not going to fail.

I run the 4" and very happy with the ride.

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: YJ U-Bolt Skids?

Here is another option.

I went with flipped u-bolts on the D44's I built. Those parts are from an 80's Dodge Dakota.

They include the flat piece on the bottom recessed for the u-bolt and a hole to keep it centered on the pin.

The square u-bolts I had made at a spring shop. $10 at the Junk yard and $40 at the spring shop.
