I have an 86 CJ7 with a 350. When I was replacing the fuel pump, I think I shorted the alternator by touching the screw on the back with a wrench to the frame. long story.....
Anyway, the next day i drove the Jeep and the volt meter was not sitting at 12, and the battery died. Replaced the battery and the replaced the alternator, just to be safe. So, new Battery and Alternator. I was driving home last night and saw the volt meter dropping from 12 to about 10. I got it into the garage, shut it off, and dead again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A buddy said there might be a fuse, checked the fuse box, could not find any and made sure none were blown to be safe.
