Modern technology is great until it fails. I just had to survive 20 hours without cable service during College Football Saturday.
Called on the neighbor for help who has satelite...His reception was horrible due to the weather. Most channels couldn't get reception.
"Streamlining" games on line was OK, but a 3.5" diagonal phone screen just doesn't replace a 50" screen. The 27" computer screen got me through, but not as good either.

Yes, I called several taverns locally and all were out of service...Arggg

Had I followed farming as my grand parents did, I most likely would have cared less.

Yeah, know what u mean. We went to a gun show yesterday and sometime during our absent our electric went out and is STILL OUT! It's boring! Of cousre, my biggest concern is all the food in the fridge. If it doesn't look like they're gonna have it up by late afternoon I guess I'll have to go get the generator from my Daughter.
