im considering replacing my 30 and 35 with 44's. What would be the best vehicle to get these from to make the transition to my 89 yj easier? I know im not going to get a perfect match so any advice would be great. Thanks

People I know used full size wagoneer non Q track will sport a centered rear either D44 or HD AMC 20 the front will be driver side drop D44 (what U want for stock T-case) These are a little wider and 6 lug so get the rims as well.

I can understand wanting to swap out the D35, but why the D30....?

What size tires are you going to be running? If your going to be running 33's I'd suggest getting an HP D30 with the 297 u-joints and a 29 spline C 8.25 both from an Xj. Both would be plenty strong and an upgrade. Plus spare shafts would be readily avalible at a JY. You'd be able to keep your current wheels and they both would be the same width as your Yj axles.
