Tranny and transfer swap
« on: April 01, 2012, 06:00:31 pm »
My buddy has a 1978 CJ7 304 v8 turbo 400 and a quadratrac tcase.  What can be swapped in to give him  a selectable four wheel drive tcase?  If we need to swap tranny and tcase that's fine but not sure w the offset rear??

if the rear is a problem then why not swap in a regular 20 rear.
build it, beat it, break it, fix it, repeat

That is an option but if we r gonna do that  it's not gonna be a 20 rear, he is running 35s and a new rebuilt 304.
