Weathering the Storm
« on: October 28, 2012, 08:24:06 pm »
Hope everyone went out and got as much bread, milk, water and toilet paper they could get their hands on. ::) Our stores around here are sold out. I hope my neighbors will let me buy some because i didn't go out and prepare. Since the schools are closed, my dentist appointment is canceled and they closed the college we may go through more milk, water, bread and TP.

Seriously though be careful out there everyone if its as bad as they say the "Frankenstorm" is going to be!

Are you stuck in Colorado?  They canceled all flights at BWI

Supposed to fly home Tuesday morning. I doubt that will happen. Maybe Wednesday. Not a bad place to be stuck though.

How is the storm in your areas? Everyone doing ok?

Normal trees down and flooding with all the wind and rain. we have some power outages around us but not in my neighborhood .

A couple of trees dn on our property, not too close to the house. Wind gust is on n off, so far, but the eye is suppose to pass over, or very close, to us so the some will change directions so I'm not sure how its gonna effect us. As long as the trees don't hit the house, I'm good. Electric has gone off 3x, but only for a minute or so. I expect it to go off in the next 5 hours or so n not come bk on for a couple of days. We'll see...

OH, electric just went out, but came bk on... Yea!

It wasn't bad here at all.

Surprisingly, we have electric  ;D, but no cable. Now we have to talk to each other...  ???  We had a 5 gal bucket out n now its FULL! Wouldn't have thought that. No real damage, but haven't some a complete survey yet. None of the Jeeps were hit, nor the house so we're good to go. It looks (from weather app radar) we're still gonna get more rain, but we're hoping no wind, later today.

   We're happy campers!
