Rocky Mountain Trail Ride
« on: October 28, 2012, 10:26:13 pm »
While in Colorado for work I rented a Jeep and checked out some popular back country trails. "Breathtaking" does not even begin to describe how gorgeous the scenery was. Here are some pictures:

What part/city of CO? My Mom used to live in Canon City. Awesome place...

I went to Canon City just the other day on my way to the Royal Gorge and a scenic ride up to Cripple Creek. I am staying in Colorado Springs and have been exploring the general area. I went out to Buena Vista to rent the Jeep and ride around. Everywhere you turn here is just gorgeous!

Cripple Creek is neat, so is the Narrow Gauge RR there, but I think it might be a bit cool for a ride this time of year. My Step-Fathers ashes were spread up on one of the hillsides over looking C C. Have u gone up to Pikes Peak or over to the Garden of the Gods? You have to go to the Air Force Academy n go through the Chapel, its AWESOME! I wouldn't have gone, but Colleen talked me into it. The stain glass is really unique n worth the drive over to see it. It's not what u expect.

Most of my Ink was applied there on S. Nevada St., @ Pikes Peak Tattoo. The owner, Uncle Bud Yates, was one hell of an Artist! Unfortunately, he was killed in a bike accident a few years ago. Not sure if Brinda, his wife, kept all the shops he owned or sold them off. Yeah... He's missed, great Artist n an even better person.

We thought of moving out there a few years ago. If I could've gotten a transfer we would've. I never got a chance to photograph Estes Park, but that another place to see even though its up by Denver.

Have fun out there n be careful what part of the Springs u wonder into!
