Took it to Mt. Zion for some diagnostic stuff.  Joel looked at it, Jim and Matt each test-drove it and advised me to replace the plugs, check the timing, and a few other things.  Might need a new catalytic converter if replacing the easy things doesn't make a difference.  Said not to worry about the engine's tapping noise that it makes at startup, just keep driving it.  Quoted me a price on future engine replacement and labor that wasn't too bad.   Nice guys!

Had to take Kyle's "old" car to salvage today ($11.00 per lb. too) and the Ole' CJ fired right up, came off the trailer so to load his car.
WOW....almost 17 months sitting on the trailer and she fired right up and said "Take me to a trail...!"
I need to listen to "her" more often...lol

I put the hard top back on the red 1982 via pulley and winch.  It needs to go to inspection this month and I need to figure out why the hell it does not run properly at highway speeds.

Charged up the 1981 in prep for driving to my last weekend of work for a while.

Current plans are to try to make the 1946 run (see the alive now dead thread), may need help with that old flat head's valve adjustment.  and to finish wiring it.

Getting the old Dodge ready for inspection and replacing the wooden bed floor.

Need to weld up wheel wells for a trailer and can only ruin things with my welder so far.

pulled weeds and basically worked all day and just got a call NOW to go to work after being told by work that they were NOT going to make any calls.

Installed new spark plugs and wires; also, a new cap and rotor.  The cap was really corroded.  Checked the air filter, which was OK.

I have been pretty busy on jeep related projects the last two days.

Painted the nose running gear on Dads 1974,  Installed a new windshield frame and gasket.  Its starting to look pretty spiffy.  Still need to put the soft top on.

Completed the rebuild of Dad's trailer for his 60th birthday.  This included all new wood, strip and painted the steel work, some new steel sides and new fenders and lots of paint.

Measured in preparation for ordering a new wooden bed for our old Dodge,  we still need a head light switch then it is off for inspection.

Moved and tried to start the 1946, it didn't.  Took the battery out and put it on the charger.

Replaced the side marker light on the red 1982,  ordered new tail lights.

neglected the 2005 and 1981

Put some Heet and STP fuel injector cleaner in.  Had an earlier issue with the Jeep bucking and wanting to stall out--it might have been water in the gas that I bought, because now it runs well!

in preperation for tomorrow i replaced the brakes, fixed the e brake, replaced the trans case skid plate, changed the oil and gear oil, put the snorkel back on, reconnected the winch, gathered all the tools back up from being spread through 3 different jeeps, and put the quick discos back on.
