went to fix the lift i did to the ole ladys jeep, which was an add a leaf and blocks until i got the springs for it. i replaced the springs with a "bastard pack and some extended shackles i got from autozone. the problem is now the jeep is actually an inch higher than before, usually not a problem on a jeep but on the wifes it is. lol. oh well too late now.
build it, beat it, break it, fix it, repeat

I guess from a Wrangler Owners point of view "you" would hook up a tow strap to the Tie Rod thinking u was stuck, while sitting on flat ground, but to an XJ guy, it's just straightening a bent part after going where Rubicon's feared to tread...  :-*

AND.... where was this Punisher today??? You could have brought it up, we only did Greens and Blues  ::)

  Who loves ya anyway...  :D

Is that the XJ's fault or Jason's "friend" (who just happens to own a Wrangler) helping him from time to time?

  Ain't pointing fingers, just saying...

    :D

I sort of have the blue 1981 Cj8 steering column back together again, BUT my horn button has decided to pack up and go on vacation, it did work until right before I put the last couple of pieces (like the actual horn button) on.  My red 1982 CJ8 has however decided that it did not want left out of the steering column disassemble business. My key no longer actuates the rod that connects to the actual electrical ignition switch. as mentioned pieces are dribbling out of the tilt column covers.  I have been in the column once before and it is different and not a little scary inside.  Has anyone taken a CJ tilt column down before?  and are you willing to help out?  I will also need tilt column replacement parts related to the rod and rack.  Hopefully bring this pile to the jeep show with tools, if parts can be found.

A buddy of mine called me and told me his shop just got a 1993 Jeep Cherokee, and if I wanted any parts to come down. So I went down and found out it had the 8.25 rear, so I pulled that with the shocks leaf springs and gas tank, cuz mine has a big dent in it from a wheeling trip. Im going back down later today to pull more parts off of it.
