Got new floor pans for my Scrambler basket case from Zac (Z&M) at the Show.

(After I scraped off the layers of bondo under the floor mats, I thought it was a Flintstone car!)  :o
Hopefully, I will have a CJ8 ready for the 2011 PA Jeeps show!

I sold my Cherokee last Thursday. Is that blasphemy? Don't know but it was the first Jeep I bought and was my daily driver. Saving up for a new to me TJ. It went to a good home of Jeep Cherokee lovers.

The Little White YJ got a new TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) today. It started randomly acting like it was starving for gas and stuttering... couldn't figure it out. Glad the 93's could be plugged in for diagnostics!

well its not what i did to the jeep but what needs done, while making our trip to rausch this morning i noticed a weird hum from the front of my jeep. turns out the motor lost 4 qts of oil in only 22 miles so home we go and the new motor has to go in now.

been a little busy on the jeep, after the episode going to rausch. but after several days the new motor is in with a few things to tie up yet. during the install i removed the clutch fan and electric fan to replace them with a larger electric fan only. also removed all the unnecessary a/c equipment except for the compressor which will be converted over for onboard air. the last add on is a dual battery set up. the new motor is out of a 95 which of course the c.p.s. is different . and broke the oxygen sensor. also while the motor was out and apart i took the exhaust manifold and rewelded were they notoriously crack and added a weld to the cross tube section to releave some stress so it doesnt crack again. so after the test drive tomorrow well see if its good to go and hopefully make it to more events with out hassle.

well that was a complete waste of 4 days. i installed the new motor fired it ran great, no smoke no oil burn, replaced the o2 sensor i broke and now it smokes like a fogger, so thinkin it was the o2 sensor i disconeccted it and it still smokes, a light white almost grey color, back to the drawing board. or engine stand as it would be. time to rebuild the original.

an early 91 - 95, i pulled one from the boneyard but it was out of a later one and totally different.

ordered the rings and bearings yesterday, and the y shipped yesterday. same kit as autozone for half the price, even with shipping.around $100 for the mains, rod and rings and full gasket kit.  looked into doing the 4.7 stroker kit and wow almost $3000. so its going back to stock, but i took some measurements and it looks like i can put a 350, in there in the future.
