Cleaned up Dad's stock 7" wheels and preparing to clean up his old 8" Jackman steel wagon wheels (anyone sand blast?)  after discovering that the    285/75R16 BFG MT KMs on his CJ6 are dry rotting and not holding air anymore.  (they are 1998 date codes)  We ordered some BFG AT KO in 33x10.5x15 size as we can get them in 3 days as apposed to the 33x9.5x15 that we wanted which will have to be made and we would get them in 8-10 weeks!  Looking as some of MY tires,  yeah,  I will need some soon too.  Although we still have a 12-15 BFG AT that is NOT dry rotted and still holding air that was made in 1978 (WTF)  guess not even BFG makes them like they used too.

Installed air horns under the hood--literally.  Took down the light under the hood that wasn't functioning and hung everything off that bracket.   When closing the hood, everything fits down into the void rather nicely.  Kept the factory horn in place and working since the air horns didn't seem to fit under there.  Now, it's twice as loud as before!

removed the brake lines,  removed the proportioning valve,  Removed fuel lines,  preparing to remove intake and header and everything else on the driver side frame rail,  wire wheeled and grind-ed the driver side frame rail.   Next week maybe getting the crack in the frame welded up and plated all on the 1982.  Also mounted 33x10.5R15 BFG AT/KO on 8-15 jackman wheels on Dad's CJ6

Took it to the transmission shop.  Finally, after a year of sitting, it's maybe a week away from being able to hit the trails.  Now, if I could just get some time to hit the trails.....

Looked under it and found a nice quarter-sized hole just behind the replacement tailpipe end.  Either they missed that during inspection, or it just happened. The catalytic converter needs replaced, too.

Took apart most of the 1982s engine compartment to gain access to the ds frame rail for repair.  This should not be as complicated as it is.
