all right what didnt i do to the jeep. first i got a new set of 31 10.5 michelins for skins. i go to put them on and th eballl joints were shot so i figured i'd replace them as well.after the front driver side was done  i realized i was out of grease and off to the part store since the front brakes were a little thin. on to the back wheels they should be quick except the passenger rear had a leaking wheel cylinder. so theres another part along with the brake line that broke as well. and with the new rims the backspacing was off so i had to readjust the spring plates for more clearance. off to the final corner of front passenger and the press stops working so after 2 1/2 hours the lower balljoint is out and proceed to put it back together. then a small oil leak which happens to be the filter adapter seal. 14 hours total and am replacing the front calipers tomorrow because i broke both bleeders off in the process. and of course new rear shoes because of the leaking wheel cylinder.

not to mention my father in law bought a zj monday only to have the brake line blow in my driveway and then have the door lock cylinder break on wednesday. another 3 hours under a jeep. but what a way to spend time. ;D

Drove it to my math class today and got pulled over by a state boy in the college parking lot......he was nice enough to give me a warning for not having the front tag on jeep.

after spending Friday night under the 93 changing the oil, replacing tracbar bushings and 3 control arm bushings took it up to RC Saturday morning with 3-Jk's 3-Tj's and a Yj. Had a ruff day ripped another control arm bracket off, ripped the TC skid off, ripped the passenger mirror off, ripped a rear flare off, lost a bead, then the efan took a dump (got that working after beating the mud out of it), fried the alternator in the mud hole on 10b, then had to get a ride home

All in all it was costly blast. Now contemplating Clayton or Iron Rock rear long arms

Now your story reminds me why I stopped taking my rigs off road other than the beach. Most times when you are having fun many things break and the wrenching begins. The off roading is fun but at this point in my life the wrenching isn't so I'll just read your posts and look at the pics and think about the old days. LOL Enjoy!

well we had our mudding adventure last weekend for the boys 16 th bday. took grandpas new xj out and got it MUDDY then broke the front axle shaft. so i pirated mine and got him home, since i needed to replace my axle seals anyway. replacement axle shaft new ujoint and new seals, (pia by the way if you ever need to replace them). and i finally put on the drop control arm bracket. and a new chrome (stainless haha) front diff cover just because it was here. so we should be ready to go next weekend for the club ride.  yeah

and with the ongoing jeep repairs trying to get ready for this weekend realized the trac bar end was wobbly so replaced that and was resealing all under hood electronics when i noticed the less than a year old motor mount was torn so that was replaced also.

Yesterday,  I rode shotgun with Dad's 1974 CJ6 at a AAOA trail guide meeting.   John Meehan's CJ6 is a lot more capable now that he was used too.   ;D .  It did suffer some body damage,  first time that has happened in 39 years.
The project is moving forward, we can expect a lot more to happen in the coming months.  More on this later.
