Rick, You Kept Telling Me....

Well, Rick kept telling me things needed to change and boy did they!!!  Saturday afternoon rear u-joints failed while I was on 495...gun shot sound and of course, pretty much stopped moving forward....found the slip yoke under the rig, the "ears" where the u-joints sit, busted....no drive shaft to be found and I wasnt about to go walking down 495 to look for it....

I figure I had a couple of things working agaisnt me on this....first and foremost, the angle sucked, as Rick kept tellling me and telling me....and I'm thinking the rear drive shaft was out of balance, due to some other things from a while back, live and learn is what I say....

SO, I'm going with the SYE of course, who knows, maybe I'll get her off-road again before I'm 50!!!!

Well there is nothing to do now but "Do It Right" this time Jim.
Good Luck and sorry to hear it happened where it did. The 495 beltway is UGLY for carnage to happen.

Hopefully that shaft made its way to a secure place and didn't damage anything or anyone.

I think we won't see each other on the trail until we're both 60  If I'm even still alive and kicking.

Now that you mention it, we havent!!!  We really need to change that....  I'm buying the SYE this weekend and the drive shaft the following payday....
