MY UNIVERSALS WENT OUT IN THE FRT AXLES. TODAY WHERE AND WHICH ONES WOULD BE GOOD TO USE. QUESTION IS IT EASY TO DO YOURSELF OR WOULD IT BETTER FOR A GARAGE TO DO IT.  THANKS MUDDY

there easy enough to do. you remove the hub assembly and they come out with it. the dana 30 is a non c clip so they just pull out.

i use the autozone ones just make sure they are greasable what ever you get.

 Jon, I did mine, but some tools will make it easier. I believe its a 16 pt 13mm socket (which I have) and a U-Joint "Press" which you can use for free from advance auto (with a deposit). It was easier then I thought it was gonna be. IMHO...

 can you use that same tool to do the ones in the driveshaft too. now i can grab the frt. driveshaft and all you hear is a crunching noise.

   Yes, they usually have different sizes of adapters, some you can even do your Ball Joints.

PULLED THE DRIVE SHAFT AND A LITTLE METAL BALL FELL OUT SO IM GETTING A NEW ONE.

   For any Drive Shaft needs, you should check out these guys. They're Vendors at our Jeep Show and they've done excellent work for me! Great people and very picky about their work. Highly recommended...

got another drive shaft installed that one today. got everything taken apart except for the ball joints. put myself in a pickle today, took everything off and went to take the nut off so i could put the axle later. but i forgot to keep the brake pads on to get the nut off. i could of kicked myself in the @#$ for that one. should have my MudDog running by next week.

I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM THE HUB ASSEMBLIES MUST MUST FACTORY ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO GET THEM OFF AND OUT. I TRIED A HAMMER AND A  CHIESEL. I NEED HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah there a super pia to get out the first time. i have a REALLY BIG hammer i used and most of a can of rust eater and the cold chisel. ended up killing the dust shield but went and got some from the boneyard.

i got a new problem. sometimes it starts and sometimes it dont. i took the worm gear out of the throttle body and cleaned all the black off of it. and it still does it. also it smells like it's running rich. any ideas i stuck.
                                   
also is the 8.8 swap easy to do?

c.p.s. , o2 sensor, t.p.s. other sensor on the throttle body, or map sensor. clogged air filter, fuel pressure regulator.
