weber carb install on CJ7
« on: February 08, 2012, 10:51:11 am »
bought a brand new weber carb for my 86 CJ7 258 I6 having problems getting the thing adjusted.  have adjusted the mixture screw over and over and cannot get the thing to run right, has no power just seems like it is not getting enough fuel, replaced fuel filter, checked timing and plugs, wondering if maybe it needs bigger jets.

there are 2 adjustment screws turn the bottom one all the way in and then 1 1/2 turns out that will be real close just may need to fine tune it from there.

are you running a fuel pressure regulator,  it is mandatory or it will NEVER be right!  Adjust it to 2-3 .lbs of pressure.  Then as mentioned it is about one and half turns out.
