New Lift issues

installed a Iron Roc short arm kit last week. Now when i pull out from a stop there is a banging coming from the rear. Its hard to explain in writing. it is not just a single bang or pop but more like a series of them occurring rapidly only when i initially start pulling out. Any ideas?

u joint binding? maybe its rubbing in the yoke area.

Crawl underneath with a flashlight and look for dinged up shiny spots, close contact areas, hopefully your underside is much less dinged up then mine !
Do you have the noise when pulling out in REVERSE ?
Have a friend push down on the Jeeps rear as you look, WATCH YOU FINGERS, the less surrounding (outside) light coming under the Jeep the better to see under the Jeep with a flash light.
Keep the wheels on the ground when looking, BLOCK THE WHEELS.

What model Jeep...?
How much lift (2 1/2" - 3 1/2" - 4") with the short arm...?
Do you have a (SYE) slip yoke eliminator kit installed...?

OK. its  4inch iron rok on a 99 wrangler with a 1 inch body lift. lowered transfer case no slip yoke eliminator. it only happens when pulling out from a stop when i give it a little gas. i am thinking its when the rear lifts. only happens going forward. the kits included new upper and lower links, new front track bar,  rear track relocation bracket springs and shocks. i cannot find any shinny spots. the rear track bar was right against the gas tank skid plate. but a large hammer took care of that. i am unfortunately deployed again so i cannot look at it anymore for a bit but any ideas would be appreciated.

Your rear axle yoke may need to be "shimmed" ever so slightly upwards, but better yet install an SYE kit.

i would like to install a SYE. i have the adapter just dont have 400 for the drive shaft

Do you have adjustable upper rear control arms? If so you could adjust up the nose of the rear diff.

i do yes. good idea. never even occurred to me.

Just for the sake of closure i found what the issue was. turns out when i dropped the transfer case with the spacers it altered the angle too much on the shifter linkage bracket causing it to bang against the body when the transfer case shifted. removed the spacers. now i just need a cv drive shaft.
