ZJ wiring question
« on: November 21, 2014, 07:35:38 pm »
Ok - I need to replace the dimmer switch on my ZJ - plan is to buy a new one and fix the old one - my question is - when these vehicles were  built did the wire harness include all options?  Currently I do NOT have driving lights - I'd like to add them - so I'm curious if I can avoid running wires and a switch by using something that is already in the vehicle.  I know I'll need to add a relay and lights - just wondering if I'll need to add the wiring, fuse and other stuff.

Cheers

Steve

on upgraded packages yes, but i havent seen them on the base model. and some came with the switch on the console area, so check there too.
build it, beat it, break it, fix it, repeat

It's funny - ordered the switch Saturday - since then the dimmer has worked to perfection - apparently Jeeps and VW's know when you're spending money on them and become more cooperative!
