1978 Cherokee base model, showing 9X,xxx miles (could be 19Xk, but not sure, cause its relatively nice).
needs an owner, daily driven, inspected till 9/15, 360 AMC V8, some rust on frame rear, some dents and paint clear peel etc. just had rockers redone 2 months ago. paint isn't exact, but it's what I had setting around from another job. was restored probably 10 years ago and could use a once over if you want something super nice. but all in all it's really decent. headliner is good. only drivers seat has moderate wear. carpet is worn on drivers side as well... it's all original. No power anything (a plus in my book). Rear manual roll down window is a pain, but operates... needs some mechanical tinkering.
New front axle u-joints/bearings/seals, new lower rad hose.

I think the thing is awesome. If i keep it, i'll probably do a SOA and 33" tires and call it done.
As a daily, I drive 30-40 miles a day + any running around... fuel mileage is about 12mpg...
So, i'd rather have a vehicle as listed:
- '97-'01 Cherokee Sport (baby Chero), manual trans
- Audi TDi or 1.8T gas, quattro, wagon or hatch, manual trans
- VW TDI or 1.8T gas, syncro/4motion, wagon or hatch, manual trans
